One of Dali's most famous works. Now hanging in MOMA. One of the joys of working digitally, the camera doesn't require as much light, so you can work without flash.

Very good Italian dinner. I liked the linguini with white clam sauce so much I thought I'd take some of it home on my new shirt.

3-james-caird-starboard-2.jpg
The James Caird, once a simple lifeboat, but used by five brave men to traverse 800 miles of the word's wildest ocean to find help for the rest of the stranded team from the Endeavor. It was nearly another year before they could organize and execute a successful releif mission to rescue the party that was left behind.

3-sextant-flash.jpg
This is the sextant that Shackleton's five man crew used on their voyage. Because of the typically horrible Sourth Atlantic/Antartic weather, they were only able to take four readings in the entire 800 mile journey, yet still landed on the small island they were targeting. It is renowned today as the greatest feat of small craft sailing in known history.

Another Hurley color transparency. This was a time when a lead (passage) in the ice opened up in front of the Endeavor and the crew attempted to break free and make it to the open water. They were not successful after a half day of full engine and sail power.
