This is the view from the spot where my bike and I, doing about 20 mph, met a very large rock doing zero mph. While going up a simple little rock climb, I hit a softball sized rock with the front that flipped my front wheel out. The bike and I went directly into a very large rock on the right side of the trail. My right boot took the full force of the bike and my body decelerating instantly from 20 to 0. At first I thought I had broken a bone or something, but was able to stand. My next concern was that I had crushed my new camera that I was carrying in a pack mounted to my chest protector. I took this picture to see if the camera was still working. I hadn't even picked up the bike yet at this point, I had just shut off the petcock and started doing the "does everything still wiggle" test.
