One of the ribbons placed by Jimmie Sones to mark our trail. Jimmie rides out at 4am, along with another support team member, to place these ribbons so we can find our way each day. A ribbon is universally known to all riders as a "thank you Jimmie." It seems about any time you are convinced that you are totally, irretrievably lost and doomed to die a slow death and have the meat picked off your bones by the ever-present and flying-closer-all-the-time vultures, what should your longing eyes see, but a "thank you Jimmie" fluttering in the breeze. Relief floods in and your confidence is restored. At least until a few more miles down the trail, when you are convinced you are totally and irretrievably lost...
