The sand ledge above the rocks. We had to go through this section to get to the last bit of beach riding. Last year I took the rocks in the surf. This year I took the sand. I managed to muck this up pretty good and overheat the bike going way too slow in too low a gear. Finally got it together and blasted down the rest of it with 1/1000 the effort I'd been expending going slow. More evidence to support the maxim of sand: speed is good, more is better.
